Subject to any special order issued by the Central Board of Revenue from time to time, the Directorate General shall required to assist in the conduct of all departmental examinations.

The examinations conducted by DGICCE are :

Central Excise Departmental Examination of the Inspectors

Promotion exam for LDC to UDC and also confirmation of Direct recruit UDCs

District Opium Officer in Central Bureau of Narcotics, Gwalior (On demand by NC Gwalior)

Stenographer Grade III for promotion to higher supervisory Ministerial Cadre

Superintendent Group ‘B’ (Experts) in Central Excise (On demand by Commissionerates)

Appraisers/Examiners/Preventive Officers for confirmation in their respective grades.

Custom House Agents Licensing Regulations Examination

Promotion of Sepoy to Sub-Inspector in CBN, Gwalior (On demand by NC Gwalior).
